About Confirmation Days Print E-mail

Leadership Now’s Confirmation Days are designed to help pastors, confirmation teachers, mentors, and lay leaders introduce confirmands to Lancaster Theological Seminary and to youth from other congregations and regions participating in confirmation.  Although the day can be a standalone event, Confirmation Days are a way to introduce youth to Leadership Now.

Confirmation Days are one day events that hopes to affirm young people’s natural desire to ask questions about God, themselves, and others.  During the event, youth have the opportunity to get to know one another, worship together, eat together, and ask questions together.  After meeting the Leadership Now staff and participating in worship, youth meet in small groups to begin exploring questions of discernment and vocation.   Led by both peer mentors and seminary students, small group discussions seek to affirm young people in their questions about faith.   The discussion helps youth explore the variety of choices in life and invites students to ponder where God is in this process of questioning and who God is calling them to be.  Though Confirmation Days begin the discussion, it is Leadership Now’s hope that these questions spark rich theological conversation in congregations and youth groups.  For more information contact the seminary at (717)-290-8758 or (toll free) 800-393-0654, ext. 143, or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
